Human Factors in aviation focuses on human capabilities and limitations which have an impact on the safety and efficiency of aeronautical operations. The course aims to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to enable them to use all available resources for safe and efficient maintenance operations through threat and error management. Regulations require that initial and recurrent Human Factors training is provided to aircraft maintenance personnel. Recurrent training is a one day annual event for aircraft maintenance staff who have attended the initial course.
\nParticipants will specifically be equipped to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Gain a greater awareness of the role of human performance and limitations in an aviation maintenance environment<\/li>\n
  2. Be able to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to enable them to use all available resources for safe and efficient flight operations through threat and error management.<\/li>\n
  3. Be able to identify how human capabilities and limitations can influence task performance and safety within the aircraft line maintenance, hangar maintenance and inspection environments.<\/li>\n
  4. Be able to use a maintenance organization\u2019s own Human Factors programmes and system<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
